Modern addition in the Crescent

We created new brick steps with bluestone caps that span the width of the front porch.  The gravel drive is new, as are the palms and the boulders.  Previously, the front entry was seldom used, so the idea was to create a courtyard feel with a bit more modernity.

The farther from the steps, the more random the bluestone pattern.  The wide steps create an easier transition from home to garden.(compare to the original entrance in the image below)
